Using the Carey Guides as an Evidence-based Approach to Probation

Abstract

This paper will discuss a recent three-state examination of the way the Carey Guides are being used in juvenile probation departments. Participants will learn about the Guides, how they are designed to affect youth delinquency, and what each state is doing to integrate the Guides into juvenile probation practice.
