Impact Evaluation Findings from Juvenile Second Chance Act Sites (FY2010)

Abstract

OJP funding for Second Chance Reentry programs has included funding for reentry programs with high-risk juveniles. OJJDP awarded supplemental funding to five promising FY2010 sites to allow them to participate in an evaluation; the Urban Institute was funded to conduct an evaluation based on those sites, beginning in FY2013. Two sites, in Virginia and Oklahoma, have participated in a quasi-experimental impact evaluation, which utilizes both administrative data as well as youth interview data. Impact evaluation finding will be presented.
