The Officer Experience of a Predictive Policing Experiment

Abstract

This presentation examines the various experiences of officers engaged in the predictive experiment and discusses the challenges of implementing a randomized controlled experiment into the front-line of a large urban police department. Issues such as cultural buy-in, integration with day-to-day tactical needs, and officer experiences with spatial crime prediction are discussed.
