The Effect of the Good Samaritan Law on Louisville, Kentucky

Abstract

An analysis of the effect of the Good Samaritan Law in Louisville, Kentucky on crime from 2013-2016. This analysis employs a difference-in-difference identification strategy with the comparison city of Kansas City, Missouri. Results found an increase in property and total crime in the Louisville post law enactment.
