The present study examines survey responses from 2,425 active duty military soldiers that participated in the U.S. Army STARRS (Study to Assess Risk and Resilience in Servicemembers) from 2011 to 2013. Agnew's General Strain Theory (GST) is used to explain soldiers' physical confrontations during arguments. Descriptive, bivariate, and multivariate analyses and results are reported concerning the relationships between Strain and Coping, Conditioning Factors and Coping, and Strain and Conditioning Factors.
