This study aims to empirically validate the relationship between the strengthening of security arrangements and fear of crime. This study has collected and analyzed 14,976 questionnaires from Korea’s national crime victimization survey through hierarchical regression analysis. Findings indicate that while controlling for variables that have been broadly used for measuring the fear of crime, using the strengthening of security measures as the main variable shows a significant difference.
