Scholars of Tomorrow- Rikers to LaGuardia Pipeline

Abstract

This research is evaluating a program called, Scholars of Tomorrow that conducts prison "in-reach" to people in prison in an effort to expand access to higher education to people reentering society. The goal of the program is to enroll 15 formerly/current offenders into Laguardia every semester. Our secondary mission to conduct a study. We want to see if younger students ages 18-23 can convince offenders to pursue a higher education.
