Teaching Across Institutions

• In Event: Roundtable: Challenges Facing Non-Tenure Track (NTT) Faculty in a Changing Academic Environment

Abstract

I work for two different institutions, John Jay College of Criminal Justice in NYC and Plymouth State University in New Hampshire. At John Jay I work in the Sociology department teaching classes in sociology and criminology. At Plymouth State I am in the Music, Theatre, and Dance department teaching dance courses as well as First Year Seminar (freshman) and one course entitle “Empowering Youth through Movement” which is a general education course. I will be discussing teaching at more than one institution, within multiple departments, and the positives and negatives of both.
