Roundtable: Teaching the Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program from a Social Justice Perspective

Abstract

The objective of this roundtable is to critically discuss approaching the Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program from a social justice perspective. Each presenter will be prepared to discuss their relevant research, as well as a specific issue or experience they've encountered while teaching an Inside-Out Prison Exchange program course. The discussion will be steered more towards pedagogy and epistemology, as opposed to focusing on questions about the Inside-Out program in general. Ideally, participants will walk away with feedback on their work, as well as potential solutions and/or ideas pertaining to challenges within the Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program.
