Abstract
Since its origins in the health sciences, the use of systematic reviews and meta-analyses in criminology have largely been devoted to understanding the effectiveness of various interventions in preventing crimes and other problem behavior. Yet the strength of systematic reviews also offers the approach as a useful method to synthesize and improve knowledge on what we know about crime more generally. This panel is devoted to systematic reviews and meta-analyses which are intended to improve that understanding and offer innovations.
