Over 800,000 Americans are currently registered sex offenders. Beginning in the 1990s, federal and state authorities enacted a series of laws that increasingly ratcheted up the scope and punitiveness of these policies. Loosely based on the recently published collection, "The War on Sex," this panel will examine the implications these policies have for justice and sexuality -- both domestically and internationally.
