Session Submission Type: Complete Thematic Panel

Abstract

Founded by the late John Irwin, Project Rebound is a reentry program that facilitates the admission of formerly incarcerated students into San Francisco State University and provides support and resources for them while they are students on campus. The program is in its 50th year of operation. In the past year the program has expanded to eight additional campuses throughout the California State University system. Panelists will discuss the trajectory of the implementation of the Project Rebound program on their campuses throughout the CSU system, including how the program was proposed on their campus, how they were able to secure administrative support, how the program has been implemented on their campus and how it has served formerly incarcerated students thus far.
