Abstract

The papers on this panel investigate the dynamics of factors that influence engagement in terrorist violence, and particular tactics and targeting strategies among perpetrators of terrorist violence. Specific considerations vary across geographic and ideological contexts. We include ideologically focused analyses of patterns of jihadist and right-wing extremist violence, and regionally focused analyses of terrorism in the Middle East, South Asia, Africa, the United States, and Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) countries more broadly.
