Roundtable: Overcoming Primary Data Collection Challenges in Victimization Research

Abstract

From IRB approval to participant recruitment and data collection, to creating code books and data cleaning, primary data collection presents a host of unique challenges before one can even begin to tackle the challenges of data analysis. Because many of these challenges can be specific to the area of research, this round table will focus on primary data collection challenges in victimization research. It will include discussants with different levels of experience studying a variety of victimization issues using both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. Join us to share knowledge, strategies, and resources for overcoming or avoiding these challenges.
