Session Submission Type: Roundtable Session
This roundtable consists of Byrne Criminal Justice Innovation grant awardees that are in various stages of planning and implementing crime reduction, public safety and community engagement activities. The focus of the discussions will be based on researcher and practitioner partnerships with police agencies as well as community based organizations. Specifically, discourse will include topics such as how to build sustainable relationships with the agencies and what are some impediments to overcome, understanding the role of the research partners in the overall planning and implementation of the grant award, and successful evidence-based strategies that can be or have been utilized.
