Fri, Nov 17, 2:00 to 3:20pm, Marriott, Conference Suite II, 3rd Floor

Session Submission Type: Roundtable Session

Abstract

Queer criminology has emerged as an evolving discipline in Criminology. This has occurred because of academic research and publications, and, importantly, administrative and faculty support. Currently there are Universities that are offering courses in Queer Criminology. This roundtable will focus on course development, syllabus design, and the identification of research based resources and activities that can be used to enhance the curriculum. Additionally, we will discuss student recruitment into LGBTQ courses and the value of cross departmental listing of the courses.
