How do we train our police officers to police in the 21st century? Law enforcement training academies are utilizing terminal objectives to design their training curriculum that are over 25 years old. If we are going to equip our officers with the best equipment possible to police in the 21st century, shouldn't that equipment also include a training curriculum that is suitable for policing in the 21st century? If so, how do we determine what this new training curriculum should be and what it should contain?
