Contentious and polarizing United States Presidential General elections manifest ideological differences. This research will analyze the loss of life from the September 11, 2001 attacks in the New York City metropolitan area to determine if the losses of life based on geography impacted the 2004 Presidential election. Geographic areas such as Zip Codes and NY Assembly districts were reconciled to determine if communities with losses of life had substantial changes in voting practices.
