Young researchers of the Bialystok School of Criminology work hand in hand with their experienced colleagues on the most pressing issues of today’s criminology. They have carried out a number of scientific projects, of a great importance not only to Poland, but also to the whole Europe, including such areas as combating organized crime and terrorism; monitoring, identifying and counteracting threats to security; protection of internal security; penal medical law; etc. In order to address the present-day problems of criminal law and criminology, the BSK researchers conduct interdisciplinary research on a wide range of issues. The presentation aims at demonstrating varied interests of the BSK researchers on the basis of themes undertaken presently, including such diverse areas as: homelessness, green criminology and transnational crime.
