On-line victimization among youth has become a greater concern in the recent years. There are several explanations regarding the correlates of this pattern; however, a more structured theoretical perspective is needed. This study addresses this need by testing the explanatory value of a social bonds perspective in explaining online youth victimization. The early findings indicate that youth with stronger social bonds will eventually be less likely to be harmed due to victimizing behavior that they might be subject to on online environment.
