Abstract

Having joined the ASC and the DWC in 1989, Dr. Cook has spent years collaborating with criminologists who have experience in the field ranging from acceptance to exploitation based on gender, race, sexual orientation, and socio-economic class. In this brief summary, she will outline some consistent efforts for reform and responses to those efforts. Dr. Cook will also pose some questions/ideas for future work.
