This paper examines the perspectives of patrol officers regarding body-worn cameras in the Los Angeles Police Department. Based on surveys and interview of officers, the paper not only explores the changes in attitudes about cameras over time, but considers the time spent on reviewing footage, their reaction to how the footage is used in civilian complaints and use of force, and in administrative situations.
