With growing interest in criminal justice and juvenile delinquency in the Indian context, the first International Survey Research on Delinquency (ISRD) surveys were conducted within the Indian context through vernacular languages during the third wave. Translations of the third ISRD surveys were carried out in Oriya, Urdu, Hindi, Marathi and subsequently administered to students in India. Being the first initiative to collect empirical data on delinquency in India, study will present the findings from the preliminary analysis of the data from these surveys. It will summarize intra-Indian findings within Indian Society along with examination of the international differences with respect to the delinquent behavior between Indian and European youth.
