Transgender people are more likely than cisgender people to experience a wide variety of victimization, including sexual assault and intimate partner violence. Although it also follows logically that they might experience high rates of fear, less is known about their patterns of fear, especially as it relates to racialized patterns of fear. The present study uses data from the Spring 2011 and Spring 2013 administrations of the American College Health Association’s National College Health Assessment (ACHA-NCHA) to assess patterns and prevalence of fear among transgender college students. Implications for future research, policy, and practice are discussed.
