Using Open and Darkweb Artifacts To Understand Cybercrime

Abstract

This presentation will consider the utility of different data points from websites and hosting providers to understand the practices of cybercriminals. Specifically, this talk will consider how web hosting data can be used to assess offender networks in online illicit goods markets and couple hosting data with content analyses from web forums and shops. The benefits of using less common methods will be discussed in detail.
