Promises and Challenges of Genetic/Genomic Research

Abstract

This presentation is to draw criminologists’ attention to socio-genomic research. I will use recently available genomic data and methods as an example to demonstrate how genomic research can contribute to criminology both conceptually and empirically. New opportunities integrating criminological and genomic research will be highlighted, and potential challenges in this field will also be discussed.
