o Biosocial criminology integrates biological and environmental risk factors in our understanding of criminal and deviant behaviors. To date, the environmental risk factors that have been examined are largely at the individual level. This talk will discuss ways in which the micro-level approaches of biosocial criminology can work in tandem with the meso- and macro-level approaches found in environmental/spatial criminology. Through the integration of these two theoretical approaches, interesting insights may be gained in how, why, and where crime occurs.
