In the COVID-19 Pandemic, the recent high-profile cases of hate crimes in the U.S., especially those targeting Asian-Americans, have raised concerns about their risk of victimization. Thus, the rising concerns about hate crime against Asian-Americans have called for effective interventions in law enforcement activities and the practical implications supported by the empirical evidence. Accordingly, this study aims to provide pictures of hate crime against Asian-Americans by analyzing geographic patterns of hate crime in large metropolitan cities. The present work focuses on the geographical patterns of hate crime, with a special focus on hate crime against Asian Americans in the U.S. For the study, data were drawn from multiple police departments to analyze the patterns of Asian American hate crime. The assessing correlation between variables will explain the possible mechanisms and predictors of hate crime.
