Prioritizing Creative Research Dissemination: A Primary Goal of the Rutgers Violence Against Women Research Consortium

Abstract

In addition to filling research gaps in the area of violence against women, a goal of the Rutgers Violence Against Women Consortium was to develop dissemination products that are designed for academic audiences as well as translated into means that are useful for practitioners, policy makers, and the general public. Dissemination materials developed as part of the Consortium included infographics, research briefs, outreach videos, and webinars. In addition, the “Coffee Chat” podcast series was developed to showcase research being conducted by scholars in the area of violence against women. Creative dissemination methods, recommendations for researchers, and examples from the Consortium will be shared.
