Abstract/Description

The President's Award for Distinguished Contributions to Justice will be awarded to the Formerly Incarcerated, Convicted People & Families Movement. Accepting the Award on behalf of the organization is the Executive Director of FICPFM, Brittany White.

Following the presentation, ASC President Shadd Maruna will be introduced by Paula Harriott (Penal Reform Trust, UK) to deliver the 2023 Presidential Address on the theme of "Desistance Narratives and the New Social Movement of Formerly Incarcerated People."
