The study explores deviant practices among social media platform members and the strategies used to resolve conflicts. Using space-transition and conflict theories, the research involved four groups from Oshogbo and 500 participants from other groups. Most participants were WhatsApp and Facebook group members, with almost 90% belonging to multiple groups and over 70% actively participating. Deviant practices included sending nudes, sharing pornographic images, and planning sexual orgies. Conflicts were resolved through removal of members, mediation, or complete extinction of the group and others. The study highlights the importance of social media as a component for internalizing cultural values and improving socialization among societal members. It emphasizes the need to accept social media as a tool for internalizing cultural values and improving socialization. Overall, the study highlights the need for better socialization and understanding of social media's role in societal interactions.
