Drone forensic analysis has emerged as a critical field in the realm of digital investigation, addressing the growing challenges associated with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). With drones becoming powerful tools in recent crimes and terror, the need to understand and mitigate threats posed by their misuse has become paramount.
This study emphasizes the importance of standardizing forensic methodologies and tools to effectively address the unique characteristics of drone-related crimes. The primary aim of this research is to test a new approach to drone forensic analysis. More specifically, two drone forensic methodologies will be examined, which are live forensic and non-live forensic. Data for the study has been collected through experiments in cooperation with the Korean Police.
