Gang membership and violent victimization: Does the relationship endure into adulthood?

Abstract

There is a well-documented relationship between gang membership and violent victimization. However, whether this relationship remains significant over time, and whether the relationship between earlier gang membership and later violent victimization endures or eventually only prior victimization matters is an issue that still requires research. The current paper will test a model of the gang membership-violent victimization relationship across multiple waves of the Add Health utilizing path modeling in Mplus.
