Organizational fairness is the view that the employing organization treats staff in a fair and just manner and is typically called organizational justice in the literature. Distributive justice (fairness of outcomes) and procedural justice (fairness in procedures) are two major dimensions of organizational justice. Feeling being treated in an unjust manner can result in psychological strain, and over time, psychological strain can result in becoming burned out from the job. The current study examined the association of distributive and procedural justice among staff at a high security U.S. prison. The results will be presented and discussed.
