This communication aims to present the outcomes of a study focused on drug trafficking in Portugal, by comparing the operational dynamics of organised crime groups across different decades. By leveraging multidisciplinary approaches and advanced analytical tools such as criminal network analysis, we delve into the structural intricacies, operational patterns, and interpersonal dynamics within these groups.
By analysing the composition, activities, and interactions of these criminal groups, we identify variations and similarities over time within Portugal's drug trafficking landscape. Furthermore, our analysis extends beyond national borders, offering comparative insights into international practices for a more comprehensive understanding.
Ultimately, this communication seeks the evolving nature of drug trafficking in Portugal, offering valuable insights into the shifting tactics and strategies employed by organised crime groups across different temporal contexts.
