Research has examined a range of negative consequences associated with cybercrime victimization, particularly regarding cyberstalking and bullying. Little empirical work in criminology has considered the impact of economic cybercrime, especially for one of the most common victimization experiences: data breach losses. This quantitative study explores this issue with a population of Australian respondents who experienced some form of data breach victimization. The behavioral and demographic correlates associated with physical, psychological and financial health consequences are considered, along with the implications for policy and practice.
