There is an ongoing need for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to examine online communities that are known to facilitate violent right-wing extremism and terrorism, but little is empirically known about the composition of these digital spaces in general – especially on a large scale. This study drew from a large sample of right-wing extremist groups and channels on Telegram to examine the discussions, users, and networks making up these spaces. Several noteworthy patterns were identified within and across spaces which may assist law enforcement and intelligence agencies in identifying credible threats online.
