CrimeSolutions has undergone numerous updates and revisions since its inception in 2011, in an effort to deliver information to practitioners and policymakers transparently and objectively. However, none of these changes has been as significant and impactful as the most recent revision to the Program Scoring Instrument, which notably has allowed programs to be rated by outcome, rather than assigning them a singular, overall rating. In this presentation, we detail the discussions that led to these changes and the process of moving to a new rating system, examine the impact the revisions have made on the review process, and explore the implications these updates have for CrimeSolutions users.
