NIJ has embarked on an ambitious undertaking to examine and document the strengths and limitations of CrimeSolutions, its evidence-based repository of programs and practices that have been evaluated to determine their effectiveness. This effort has included obtaining expert input from academic and practice communities, conducting usability testing of the website, and surveying the justice field to determine if the language used on CrimeSolutions.gov is understandable and useful to its intended audiences. In this presentation, we provide an update on what we have learned thus far, and the implications of this knowledge for strengthening and reforming CrimeSolutions, and its relevance to other evidence-based repositories.
