The United States and other Western countries experienced in the last couple of decades the growth of movements and groups (INCEL’s, Far-Right, and orthodox groups) that manifest intense hostility and violent tendencies towards women, symbols of women empowerment and equality, feminist institutions, and other related social constructs.
The current study aims to explore the causes and implications of ideological misogynist violence, as well as the organizational infrastructure that facilitates it. This will be done via the compilation of four datasets: 1. Events dataset of acts of ideological misogynist violence in the US and other Western Countries; 2. Perpetrators’ dataset, which will include their socio-demographic traits as well as of their environment and behavioral/historical background; 3. Dataset of the linguistic discourse of online ideological misogynist communities.
