Working With and Learning From Catalyst Grantees

• In Event: Grassroots Organizations Using Local Data for Criminal Legal System Reform

Abstract

This presentation will introduce the Catalyst Grant program and provide an overview of the work done with local grassroots organizations using data and technology to help advance racial equity in the criminal legal system. We will discuss some of the challenges grantees have had and how they have leveraged their community relationships to collect their own data, gain access to publicly available data, and how they use community advocacy and relationships to help ensure data is accessible and can be leveraged by the community.
