Qualitative Methods as Used by Local Grassroots Organizations

Abstract

This presentation will share about projects from Catalyst Grantees who used qualitative methods in their communities. Grantees featured in this presentation used methods including focus groups, in-depth interviews, and semi-structured interviews to learn about issues in the front-end of the criminal legal system such as system-contact prevention, policing, and prosecution. Grantees project methodology will be described along with findings/outcomes and goals for the future.
