Engaging the Community to Inform Change

• In Event: Grassroots Organizations Using Local Data for Criminal Legal System Reform

Abstract

This presentation will focus on Catalyst Grantees who worked directly with the community either using community engaged methods, or participatory action research. The grantees featured in this presentation uplifted members of their community to be involved in research, providing training and relied on their expertise either throughout the project design process, or made use of their lived experience to better understand their topics. Grantees project methodology will be described along with findings/outcomes and goals for the future.
