It is imperative to devise effective strategies for mitigating the convoluted challenges inherent in youth violence. ARU in the Community: A Trusted Adult Scheme introduces a civic enterprise initiative meticulously designed to holistically address and reduce instances of youth violence. Employing an integrative approach engages communities, creates educational interventions, mentorship, and employment opportunities to respond to the urgent demand for viable solutions in this field. Within the context of this initiative, it is posited that youth violence serves as a symptomatic manifestation of deeper socio-economic issues and systemic disadvantages. This understanding forms the crux of the academic framework, which strategically integrates community collaboration as a foundational element. By fostering collaborative efforts within the community, the program aspires to endow young people with the requisite skills, resources, and supportive networks essential for navigating challenges and steering towards positive life choices. This academic framework seeks to elucidate the theoretical underpinnings of the civic enterprise but also aims to contribute substantively to the academic discourse on youth violence reduction with a commitment to advancing scholarly knowledge and promoting pragmatic solutions for the complex challenges posed by youth violence and aspires to inform evidence-based practices that transcend the conventional silos of intervention.
