Domestic violence fatality reviews are one of the best sources of information available about domestic violence. However, they are often underutilised. This paper uses data from the Queensland Domestic and family Violence Death Review to explain the dynamics and distribution of domestic violence deaths. It will provide advice to improve core data collection for scholars serving on or working with domestic violence fatality reviews.
