Each year, thousands of individuals vanish worldwide. This presentation focuses on the perplexing phenomenon of missing person cases in Central America. Through an interdisciplinary approach, we examine the factors contributing to these disappearances and the systemic vulnerabilities within the region. Drawing on criminal justice theory, empirical data, and comparative analysis, our study seeks to understand the complex dynamics underlying these enigmatic cases. Implications for policy and future research are also discussed.
