This presentation will cover recently released results from the Survey of Campus Law Enforcement Agencies (SCLEA). Campus law enforcement agencies are the most common type of special jurisdiction law enforcement agency in the U.S., and they face challenges unique to campus security. This periodic data collection is the only nationally representative survey of campus law enforcement agencies and includes agencies serving public and private universities and agencies with sworn and nonsworn personnel. This survey collected data on agency staffing, operations, policies, responsibilities, and equipment during the 2021-2022 academic year. Specifically, this presentation will report on campus law enforcement agencies serving public and private 4-year institutions with a full-time enrollment of 1,000 or more students. This presentation will also highlight changes in personnel since the 2011-2012 and 2004-2005 SCLEA administrations.
