Since its origins, Convict Criminology has had international and global undercurrents. In some cases globalization refers to the citizenships and nationalities of individuals in the CC network. In other situations globalization refers to the locations where scholarship has occurred, whereas in other instances globalization refers to the implications of the research that has occurred in this field. Each of these interpretations has different implications. This paper attempts to understand these dynamics and the multilayered effects of these activities and processes.
