The purpose of this research is to investigate the predictors of cyberbullying victimization among South Korean adolescents. Specifically, we examine how different types of guardianship and openness in cyberspace affect victimization experience directly and indirectly through the mediating effects of exposure to risk. Data drawn from a nationally representative sample (Cyberviolence Survey 2022) are analyzed, and findings indicate that exposure to risk is a significant determinant of different types of cyberbullying. Furthermore, openness in cyberspace as well as self- and school guardianship are shown to impact victimization experience. Future research directions and policy implications are discussed.
