Abstract

The UN Declaration on Future Generations and the achievement of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development provides the framework for this presentation. The paper will discuss the importance of intergenerational approaches and the pivotal role that young people play as partners for change. Consideration is given to the benefits, challenges, costs and outcomes for engaging and bringing children and young people to the central stage of the social transformation.
